Lily is getting her face painted by a princess at her cousin's 3rd birthday party - all the girls had pretty, sparklely make-up applied so they all looked like princesses. Lily ran right over to me and planted her face right in my lap! Yes, all the make-up was off her face and my skirt then had a "Lily face" smeared across it! Yet another reason not to buy new clothes!
Happy Fourth of July! Lily decided to drink her yogurt with her juice box straw... it actually worked! New meaning to "drinkable yogurt". I don't have any pictures of the fireworks that night, but she really enjoyed them! We took the boat out around 8:30 pm, fireworks didn't start until almost 9:30, but they were worth it. Lily would point and say "lights" or "Mama, yowd!" (yowd = loud). It was really cute.
Yesterday, we played at the Betty Brinn Children's Museum with my friend and her son. I am shocked at how long we stayed- until almost 3:00! Lily usually goes down for a nap @ 12:30 or 1:00. They had a blast- and it was great for us Mom's too!
We could tell they were both over-due for a nap by this time. They were playing "Ni - Ni" and using the turtle as a pillow.
Hopefully more house/building pictures coming soon. The post holes for the deck are being dug this afternoon! Of course, STILL waiting on contractors re: the driveway. Will hopefully hear from them soon as well.
